  • Dreams & the Supernatural

    Current mood:accomplished

I dream of new experiences with God, don't you?

God's Holy Word, the Bible, tells us that "He will show us great and mighty things that we know not of." Well, through God's grace, I've just seen some of that promise this past week! I've had a supernatural incounter with God, man, and nature that has far exceeded any usual 'normal' experience.  I've been blessed by God waaaaay more than I deserved ... and I thank God for continuing to show me this is how His love works!

My plan today was to blog part of the awesome details, but I've decided to just hold them closer to my heart for a time longer...

Meanwhile, lean in to God ... trust Him ...  and expect to see great and mighty things.

  • Oh, lover of my soul...

    Current mood:indescribable

Although, never very far from my heart and mind... the closer it gets to my husband's death date (2/25) almost nine years ago, now... the easier I slip back daily into the sadness of missing him, and the memories of how goooooood our 16 year marriage and family relationship was. I was 32, he was 33. It was the second marriage for us both, bringing together a magnificent deep love, my three kids and his three kids. I respected and admired him; he was so easy to love. Meanwhile, he loved me, too, unconditionally~ and was always strong for me emotionally, physically, and spiritually. He was a hell of a husband and father.

    Love and Respect

Stay off a womans air hose; love her unconditionally.

View her negativity as a cry for love.

Though youre offended, reassure her of your love.

Dont defend yourself; shell feel blamed.

Take responsibility for your part of the blame and say, I am sorry.

Energize her by succeeding where you failed.

    Show affection.

Stay off a mans air hose; respect him unconditionally.

Though he blunders, believe in his good will.

Dont display or speak with contempt or condescension.

Ask, Will my words sound disrespectful to him?

Say, That felt unloving, not Youre unloving.

Take responsibility for your part of the blame and say, I am sorry.

    Show admiration.

  • To all the dogs that I have loved~

    Current mood:mellow

This is for all you who have your dogs, or are like me…. all your dogs have gone to Heaven. In honor of my family dogs in the past 35 years: Kristopherson (Cock-a-poo), Chopper (Cock-a-poo), Sport (German Shepherd), Sweet-tart (Silky mix), Murphy (Golden Retriver), Jasmine (Chocolate Lab), and Elvis (White Lab). God bless you each one~

The average dog is a nicer person than the average person.

We give dogs time we can spare, space we can spare and love we can spare. And in return, dogs give us their all. It's the best deal man has ever made.

You can say any foolish thing to a dog, and the dog will give you a look that says, 'Wow, you're right! I never would've thought of that!'

If you think dogs can't count, try putting three dog biscuits in your
pocket and then give him only two of them.

  • Screamin' Mimi-es!

    Current mood:peaceful

As a Weight & Diabetic management counselor, with an alias of Mimi, I'm ever so slightly older than most people that will be reading this...unless some oldie-goldie is as cool as me (and that is way doubtful!) decided to jump on MySpace! Anyway, I was a small person from a small town all my life until my sons became teenagers and I thought I could eat like they could! Ok.... wrong! So I gained some (toooooooooo much!) weight, was diagnoised with type II (OH-NO!) diabetes, became educated on the subject, lived what I learned, lost the weight by eating healthy and workin' out, and now I am a small person again ( 5'2"/110lbs.).
If you'd like to talk about making healthier life choices, or just laugh and talk a little, just say so. I'll give you some good, encouraging information to help you get started and then suggestions to maintain your good health. All it takes is: taking a deep breath and deciding it can be done!
    Twist & Shout,
    Bree~
